About Me

Most people call me Flagg. I'm from a small town south of St. Louis and just graduated from the University of Missouri. Photojournalist by trade, I use this blog to visualize my life and surroundings. Aside from photo, my great loves are my family, food, the St. Louis Cardinals and Queen. I'm open to go anywhere in the world and experience everything.

Audio Slideshow

This is a slideshow I found from the State Journal Register photography website. The show is about a group of kids with Down's Syndrome who get together and dance. I chose this slideshow because the photographer took a visually boring environment (a dance studio) and created interesting pictures. I thought the variety of angles and aspects were very impressive. The audio was also well done. Produced by: Lane Christiansen

Multiple Flash

John Petrocik takes a huge bite of his Which Wich club sandwich as he sits on his lunch break with a good friend and co-worker, Marvin Overby.  Being the first time the two of them have been to Which Wich, the two say they were impressed with the sandwiches and liked the unique way of ordering. Customers at the new sandwich place write on paper bags what they want on their sandwiches.

Evan Moser shoots the three as his opponents look on in anticipation for the rebound.
Justin Siebert scrambles after the ball during wheelchair basketball practice.   The team has practice at 7am every morning at the rec center.  "When you first start out, its brutal getting up that early, but now, I'm used to it," Siebert says.

Fill and Balancing Flash

Despite the flowers and colorful atmosphere, John Lennon's memorial, situated next to Strawberry Fields in Central Park, is an emotional area when visited.
Damaged statues taken from the French Renaissance stand in the gardens at Tavern on the Green restaurant. Taken as fill flash, I wanted to show the texture of the statue as well as the highlight near its central body.
